Maintenance, insurance & charging

Maintenance policy

Glide covers:

✓ Scheduled oil changes & fluid top-offs
✓ Brake pad replacement (normal wear)
✓ Tire rotation & replacement (normal wear)
✓ Battery service & diagnostics
✓ Engine/mechanical failures (non-negligence)

Driver responsible for:

● Interior cleaning & upkeep
● Cosmetic damage (dents, scratches)
● Windshield chips & glass damage
● Damage caused by negligence or misuse
● Flat tires from road hazards

Insurance policy

Important: Insurance is not included in rental pricing. All drivers must carry their own valid insurance.

Minimum requirements:

→ Valid state liability coverage
→ Rideshare endorsement (for gig drivers)
→ Proof of insurance on file with Glide

Supercharging policy

Required: A $100 prepaid supercharging fee is collected at pickup on every Tesla rental. The balance is loaded onto the vehicle's charging account and is yours to use.

How it works:

→ Pay the $100 prepaid supercharging fee when you pick up the vehicle.
→ Supercharge on the road — charging sessions draw down your prepaid balance.
→ When the balance runs out, you replenish it to keep charging.
→ Home and destination charging stay free to use — the balance only covers Supercharger sessions.

Good to know:

The prepaid supercharging fee is separate from your weekly rate and from any security deposit. It is a required part of every Tesla rental and applies to weekly and rent-to-own drivers alike.
